Founder & CEO
Eric is the founder & CEO of Homestrings which he launched in 2011 as the first-ever diaspora investment crowdfunding platform. He led the transition to advisory and new product development.
Prior to Homestrings, Eric launched GRAVITAS Capital, a boutique sovereign asset management boutique is founded in 1996 covering Africa and the Caribbean. Prior to that Eric was a portfolio manager at the World Bank. He is currently the founding CEO of Orango Investment Corporation – an Africa focused private equity transactions platform.
Eric lives in Washington, DC with his family.
Holds the designation of Certified Professional Accountant (British Columbia, Canada), Certified General Accountant (CGA- Canada), Fellow Certified Chartered Accountant (FCCA-UK), Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor (CM&AA-USA). He also holds certificates in Executive Leadership from Cornell University and New York University. He is a Chartered Director and a Member of the Caribbean Institute of Directors. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Eastern Caribbean and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados.
He is the former Assistant General Manager of the National Bank of Dominica, former President of the Dominica Bankers and Financial Institution Association, former President of the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union Bankers Association, former Board Member of the Caribbean Association of Indigenous Banks, and former Board Member of Caribbean Union Bank. He has served on the ECCB Payments Council and the ECCB Bankers Committee.
Mr. Williams has been a consultant for the past 13 years in his own firm with offices in Dominica, Grenada, and Barbados. He provides Loan underwriting, Loan Portfolio Administration, Strategic alignment, Investment Banking and business advisory for Financial Institutions and businesses at a CARICOM Level.
